Midnight Pass
Best Times: Anytime!
The newly reopened Midnight Pass is Sarasota's most recent boating attraction thanks to Hurricane Milton...maybe the only good to come from that storm. Locals have fought for 35 years to get this outcome, and nature finally saw fit to take matters into its own hands and restore midnight pass on it's own. A terrific spot for sunset, shelling, swimming, and so much more to offer, not to mention Evie's on the Bay a short ride away!

South Lido Beach
Best Times: Anytime its not windy!
Lido Beach offers some great amenities and the views of the Gulf, Big Pass and the Sarasota waterfront are second to none! The same baby powder sand as its next door neighbor Siesta Key, yet a little more exclusive. Always popular with beach goers, jet skis, boaters and cookouts alike. Home of the Greatest unobstructed sunset cruises, beach parties, and exciting fishing opportunities.
This is a great local beach where you can have a pleasant stay complete with beach bathroom, rugged trails to explore, and views of the open gulf. At times a very popular beach that can see you right up against fellow beach goers, people fishing, jet skis, cookouts and more or completely alone with the whole beach to yourself. The current can at times get pretty strong and you will want to be careful around the tree lines but it more than makes up for it with charm, features, and the occasional food boat doesn't hurt either!
Snake Island at Venice Inlet
Best Times: Daytime.
Conveniently located at Venice inlet, Snake Island (named for its shape, not amount of crawly critters) is a great place to spend the morning or afternoon in a beach chair while you enjoy watching the world going by in the shallow protected lagoon.
This small but endearing Island is the perfect spot for a picnic in paradise while watching boats come and go all day long. Only accessible by boat, Snake Island offers exclusivity and a fun relaxing day, with no snakes (usually) to be found. A short trip through area mangroves and navigating past the only still operational swing bridge in the U.S. will take you to your own quiet little hideaway with local area dockside restaurants nearby to boot.
Beer Can Island at Coquina Beach
Best Times: Day and Sunset.
Located Between Bradenton and Cortez just south of Coquina Beach is one of two area locations known as Beer Can Island.
Typically landing on the northern most point of the island on the inland side of the bridge, Beer Can Island offers a very natural beach experience despite the bridge and traffic with the gulf facing side featuring a prominent natural tree stand.
This spot offers some of the most unique and popular sunsets in the area. In keeping with its theme of being untouched, this spot doesn't offer any kind of amenities like bathrooms however there are area restaurants nearby and readily available for an evening you will not soon forget. Be sure to bring bug spray and you favorite camera!
